Michael Jordan Gives Honest Answer To Camper's Kobe Bryant Vs. LeBron James Question

Although LeBron James still has a number of seasons left in his NBA career at 32 years old, lifelong basketball fans love to debate whether or not he belongs higher than Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant when ranking the game’s all-time great players.

This week, a camper at Michael Jordan‘s Flight School asked Jordan if he’d take LeBron over Kobe, and ‘His Airness’ gave an honest answer.

“There’s something about five that beats three,” Jordan said in reference to each player’s championship ring collection.

However, that’s exactly why James Vs. Bryant is apples and oranges as we speak.

Although the Golden State Warriors appear to be an impregnable juggernaut primed to win (not one, not two, not three, not four, not….) consecutive championships as currently constructed, even the greatest NBA teams are one injury away from playing at a diminished level.

Thus, labeling LeBron incapable of winning two or more rings before he hangs his kicks up for good is nothing short of foolish, and he shouldn’t be compared to Kobe until that day comes…
