No announcement has been made yet, but it seems crystal clear that BeeJay Anya is headed to North Carolina State.

Rumor has it that Indiana has dropped out of the running for Anya and will place their focus on Noah Vonleh in the class of 2013.

Anya, who is ranked 31’st in the class of 2013 by ESPN, said on Monday that his decision would likely come down to Indiana and NC State. Indiana seemed like a long shot then because they already had five commitments in the class of 2013 and are trying to secure one more with Vonleh in mind. Now, with the rumors that Indiana has stopped recruiting Anya, it would seem like Mark Gottfried’s Wolfpack is the choice.

The 6-foot-9 center visited NC State over the weekend and seems to feel the school is a good place for him. “It’s the perfect place for me. I’m going to be able to play a lot right off the bat because C.J. Leslie and Richard Howell are leaving,” Anya said.

Of course, Leslie is just a junior so Anya may have just revealed an NBA draft early entry. However, because of the likely exodus of post players after this season, Anya should be an important commitment for Gottfried. At 275 pounds, Anya is a true space eater. He has a 7-fott-4 wingspan that allows him to be a defensive presence and has a developing offensive game that shows potential.

There is still the possibility that Anya chooses to add schools and complicate things a little, but as of now, Anya looks like he will be the next top recruit to come off the board.
