The 2013 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic games are going to be played at the Barclays Center next season. While the Michigan State SpartansSeton Hall Pirates and the Virginia Tech Hokies are participating in the festivities, the Oklahoma Sooners are going to look to crush all their souls while helping raise money for cancer awareness and research.

The championship rounds start on November 22 and the finale runs through the following day. The complete bracket is going to be released sometime in the relatively near future. As for Oklahoma, although, we know that they will host two games in Norman as part of the event.

Sooners head coach, Lon Kruger has sat on the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic council since 2007. He has also received a slew of awards for participating and being active in the program. So far, Kruger has earned the Legacy and Leadership Visionary Award from the American Cancer Society Las Vegas region and was named the winner of the 2012 Coaches vs. Cancer Champion Award. Both are awards away from the basketball court that Kruger is certainly proud of.

He is also the main man in charge of a charity golf tournament that helps fund cancer research, and the annual event is closing in on making $1 million through the tournament. That is a big deal considering it has only been going on since 2008 under Kruger’s leadership, and does not have the pub surrounding it as the games.
