Are the Saint Louis Billikens the Team to Beat In the Cancun Challenge?

Saint Louis Billikens

The Saint Louis Billikens will be entering the 2013-14 college basketball season with a lot of hype. They will also be playing in the Cancun Challenge, which hosts a couple of notable names in college hoops. With that said, are the Billikens the team to beat?

Well, if Dwayne Evans can be just as good as he was this past season and if Saint Louis can be the same team that won 28 games, there is no doubt that Saint Louis will take home the trophy.

It is important to note that Wisconsin will also be in this challenge. The Badgers are usually a top 25 team on a yearly basis, and this season should be no different.

Other than Wisconsin, though, there will not be many teams that will challenge Saint Louis. Unless if you think West Virginia, Old Dominion, Bowling Green, Presbyterian, Georgia Southern and Oral Roberts are good enough to beat the Billikens.

This is college basketball (upsets are bound to happen), though, and you would think that the Mountaineers would have a better season than this previous one, since their head coach is Bob Huggins, who does not have back-to-back losing records ever.

Still, Saint Louis has plenty of talent and could once again be a top 25 team that challenges for an Atlantic 10 title and earns a comfortable seed in the NCAA tournament.

As of right now, the Billikens have to be the team to beat in this tourney, but if Wisconsin can get some momentum coming in, it could very easily take the crown.
