The top-rated player in most peoples’ eyes in the 2014 class is Jahlil Okafor. Now that the July signing period is over and we still don’t know which one of the eight schools Okafor has narrowed his list down to, the waiting game begins.

It seems like Andrew Wiggins all over again as Okafor will wait for the last minute to make up his mind. As much as everyone wants to know where he is going, and I’m sure he wants to have this whole thing over with too, it is going to be the biggest decision of his life for now and he should take all the time he needs to make it.

Okafor’s father has come out and publicly said that his son has no timetable as to when he is going to make his decision. Tyus Jones, who is another top-five recruit for the class of 2014, has announced he would like to make his decision around November. This is important because Okafor and Jones say there is a 99.9 percent chance the dynamic duo will go to the same college.

Baylor, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State and Ohio State are the six schools that are on both prized players’ list, and one of those schools will be receiving an early Christmas present if they do announce in November.

However, it is unknown when they will both announce and as much as they want to play together in college now, maybe that will change. We will have to wait and see.
