Arena: Marriott Center, Provo, Utah

After a disappointing loss to the Evansville Aces, the Belmont Bruins have reeled off two straight double-digit wins over weaker opponents. The good news for the Bruins, however, is that Evansville continues to look like the best team in the Missouri Valley Conference and their other loss, the Arizona State Sun Devils, just happened to lose to a team which they already beat, the Marquette Golden Eagles.

Next up for the Bruins is a trip to Provo, Utah, to face off with the BYU Cougars.

BYU would be undefeated if not for a one-point road loss to the Long Beach State University 49ers in which the Cougars had multiple opportunities to win it late. Boasting one of the best all-around players in college basketball, Kyle Collinsworth, this team has what it takes to get hot towards the end of the season and carry that momentum into the 2016 NCAA tournament.

Belmont will be the toughest team BYU has faced this season, and I expect them to struggle against this Rick Byrd coached squad. Although the Cougars have what it takes to beat the Bruins, especially at home, BYU still seems to be trying to find a go-to scorer in the post-Tyler Haws era. Having a deep bench with multiple players who can contribute in some way to the overall success of the team is great, except when the team you face is just as talented and deep.

The Cougars are a good team that should compete in the WCC, but they will not get the best of one of the most dangerous mid-majors in the country in this one.

Prediction: Belmont 79, BYU 66
