UALR is a talented team, but there's no excuse for a team like Purdue, who had been ranked for a majority of the season, to fall out of the tournament in the first game.

2. Michigan State Spartans

You might be surprised that Michigan State is the No. 2 team instead of the No. 1, but MTSU was highly under-seeded at No. 15. Michigan State has a legit gripe with the Selection Committee, because MTSU based on their resume was a clear No. 12 or No. 13 seed.

Stephen F. Austin has been a solid basketball program over the past few seasons, but West Virginia had a fantastic regular season. There was no excuse to lose this early in the Big Dance.

Watch Mississippi State's Sword Take No Mercy On Pancake

This might be the oddest headline I've ever written. First off, I don't care if Denny's is a sponsor of the contest or not, there should never be a pancake mascot. It's like one of my recurring dreams coming to life. Secondly, there was no chance Craig Sword was ever going to complete this dunk, because the pancake was so wide that he couldn't straddle him with his legs in the air. Thirdly, I think I'm hungry now.
