Former Baylor Coach Dave Bliss Resigns After Documentary About Murdered Player Airs

By Anthony Blake

After covering up a murder and leaving Baylor, Dave Bliss was somehow still allowed to coach basketball at Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma.

But now, after the Showtime documentary aptly titled Disgraced aired and chronicled the cover-up, Bliss has resigned from that position.

Bliss was given a 10-year NCAA ban following the scandal’s conclusion in 2005, and he assumed the head coaching gig at Soutwestern Christian University in 2015.

Patrick Dennehy was murdered by teammate Carlton Dotson in the crime Bliss helped to brush under the rug at Baylor, so his shame leading to another resignation seems like just dessert for a man of his nature.
