Tyrann Mathieu is one of the most talented players to step on a football field in recent memory but the poor kid has some serious issues. The former Heisman finalist and LSU star was arrested again on Thursday, this time for marijuana possession.

The Honey Badger went to rehab after getting kicked off the team this fall and it sounded like his life was back on track.  Unfortunately, addiction can be too much to overcome.  Mathieu just wasn’t able to deal with the college lifestyle without football.

You can kiss any NFL dreams that he had goodbye after his.  Mathieu is absolute poison to teams right now.  If you cannot stay out of trouble, people are not going to draft you.  He had a chance to have some team take a late round flier on him, but that will not happen.  Mathieu seriously needs to get his life back on track before he even thinks about football again.

I hope that Mathieu can end up getting the help that he really needs.  With this latest arrest, he needs to get out of Baton Rouge.  He simply cannot deal with the pressure surrounding that life.  It is sad to see but maybe he can salvage a decent life out of this.

I had big hopes for Mathieu after last season.  I was ready to watch his special blend of talent on Sundays but there is no way it happens now.
