Braxton Miller Quickly Reminds Ohio State Buckeyes Fans Who’s Boss
It didn’t take very long for all of the Kenny Guiton fans in Columbus, Ohio to remember just how good Braxton Miller still is. In fact, Miller only needed four plays to give the Ohio State Buckeyes a seven-point led and win back the hearts of many OSU fans. Players like Miller don’t have the “Heisman Trophy Hopeful” tag attached to them for no reason, and the Buckeyes’ signal-caller showed that on Saturday.
After missing 11 quarters of play, Miller scored on his first drive back with a perfectly thrown 25-yard touchdown pass to Evan Spencer.
While I’ll be the first to admit that Miller needs to work on staying healthy, it takes a true moron to overlook Miller in favor of Guiton. At the end of the day, the dual-threat style of play that Miller brings to the table far outweighs Guiton’s skills as a pocket passer. Head coach Urban Meyer knows exactly what to do when it comes to Miller, considering Meyer was in charge of the Florida Gators when Tim Tebow was busy winning two BCS National Championships in the late 2000s.
Furthermore, the Buckeyes’ fan base can rest easy knowing that a healthy Miller is way more potent than Guiton, who should get used to his spot on the bench.
