Beginning the year as a dark-horse contender for a Pac-12 title, the Arizona State Sun Devils have become one of the favorites to contend for a conference title, sitting in first place in the Pac-12 South. It looks like the final three games will be tough for this team, but they have the firepower to succeed in this conference.

On the other side of the field, it has been a tough season for the Oregon State Beavers as they began the year with a loss to an FCS squad, Eastern Washington. They then got back on track with six straight wins to reach the Top 25 once again before losing their last two games — hey, at least they’re bowl eligible.

Arizona State is led by talented quarterback Taylor Kelly who could be one of the top QBs in the conference that is chocked full of them. Kelly has passed for 2,655 yards and 24 touchdowns for the 18th-ranked passing offense, connecting with Jaelen Strong more often than not. Strong has 52 catches for 728 yards and five touchdowns on the season while D.J. Foster has 48 catches for 511 yards and three scores. Marion Grice leads the rushing attack with 783 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year.

Oregon State also has one of the best passing offenses in the nation behind the quarterback with the most passing yards in the nation: Sean Mannion. The junior quarterback is completing 68 percent of his passes for 3,540 yards and 31 touchdowns to go along with just six interceptions. Mannion is just 686 yards away from 10,000 in his career at Oregon State. Brandin Cooks has been the top wide out — by far — for the Beavers, catching 91 passes for 1,344 yards and 14 touchdowns — he is easily becoming one of the best wide outs in the nation.

Defensively, the Beavers rank 74th in points allowed per game while also ranking 28th in yards allowed per contest — not bad for a high-scoring team. Arizona State ranks 55th in points allowed per game as well as 22nd in yards allowed per game with about 322.

Oregon State will travel to Arizona State to take on the Sun Devils at 9:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 16. The game will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.

PREDICTION: Oregon State 27, Arizona State 37
