The Kansas State Wildcats are coming off four consecutive wins since a week four loss against Auburn. Kansas State has surprised many people by beginning the conference season 4-0 with three games against ranked Big 12 foes remaining.

While the Wildcats have four straight wins in their pocket, the Oklahoma State Cowboys are coming off two straight losses to ranked opponents with three ranked opponents still left on their schedule. Oklahoma State’s road doesn’t get much easier from here.

Kansas State has one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the entire nation behind center as Jake Waters has begun to look more and more like his predecessor, Collin Klein. Waters has passed for 1,655 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions with a 65 percent completion rate to go along with 370 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground — ranking second on the team in rushing yards. Charles Jones is the only rusher ahead of Klein, racking up 388 yards and nine touchdowns while DeMarcus Robinson is right behind him with 324 yards and four scores. The dynamic Tyler Lockett leads all receivers with 43 catches for 588 yards and four touchdowns, becoming Waters’ favorite target. Curry Sexton is close behind with 40 catches for 450 yards and two touchdowns.

Oklahoma State is still without starting quarterback J.W. Walsh as backup Daxx Garman has done an adequate job in his place, despite accounting for two of the team’s three losses this season. Garman has passed for 1,735 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions as well as a 55 percent completion rate. David Glidden is Garman’s favorite target, catching 28 passes for 387 yards and a touchdown while Brandon Sheperd has 22 catches for 393 and two scores. Marcell Ateman, Jhajuan Seales and James Washington all have over 200 yards receiving while Seales and Washington both have three touchdowns apiece. Running back Tyreek Hill is one one the most dynamic players in the conference, rushing for 326 yards while also catching 22 passes out of the backfield for 215 yards and a score. However, Desmond Roland leads all rushers with 512 yards and seven rushing scores.

Defensively, Oklahoma State has been struggling to keep up with opponents this season. The Cowboys rank near the bottom of the country in total yards allowed per game, 424, as well as entering this game as the 77th-ranked scoring defense. Kansas State has been much better this year, allowing just 330 yards per game and ranking 16th in points allowed per game. Fans at Bill Snyder Family Stadium will be hungry for another big win that could put the Wildcats one step closer to the four-team playoff.

Oklahoma State will travel to Kansas State to take on the Wildcats at 8 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 1. The game will be broadcasted on ABC.

PREDICTION: Oklahoma State 21, Kansas State 28
