Since their week two loss to Virginia Tech, the Ohio State Buckeyes have won eight straight games, including a tough road win against a top-10 opponent in Michigan State. This team looks like it’s firing on all cylinders heading into the most crucial time of the year for playoff talks. The Indiana Hoosiers began the year 3-2 before losing their last five games. Confidence is gone for this squad.

Ohio State has boasted one of the best scoring offenses (5th) in the entire nation behind the brilliant play of freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett — who many consider to be better than Braxton Miller. On the year, Barrett has passed for an impressive 2,356 yards, 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for 771 yards and another nine scores — not many players in college football have accounted for 38 of their team’s touchdowns. Barrett trails just Ezekiel Elliott‘s 954 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in the Buckeyes’ run game. The young quarterback’s favorite target has been sophomore Michael Thomas who leads the team with 35 catches for 583 yards and eight touchdowns while senior Devin Smith is close behind with 564 yards and eight scores.

The Hoosiers have seen their once-promising aerial attack turn bleak as Nate Sudfeld looks to be done for the year and the inexperienced Zander Diamont was thrust into action far before he was ever ready. Since Sudfeld’s injury four games ago, Diamont has passed for a mere 282 yards with just one touchdown and three interceptions and he has completed only 47 percent of his passes. Shane Wynn has been the only receiver worth noting for the Hoosiers as he leads the team with 43 catches for 568 yards and three touchdowns on the year. Tevin Coleman is a big reason the Hoosiers’ offense isn’t completely doomed as he leads the 11th-best run game in the country with 1,678 yards and 11 touchdowns while D’Angelo Roberts is a solid backup with 460 yards and six touchdowns.

Defensively, the Hoosiers have been one of the worst teams in the nation, ranking just 106th in points allowed and 91st in total yards allowed per game. Ohio State has improved in basically every facet on this side of the ball this year, ranking 25th in points allowed and 17th in total yards allowed per game.

Indiana will travel to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes at 12 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 22. The game will be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network.

PREDICTION: Indiana 16, Ohio State 48
