And just like that, the Kenny Football era (or whatever you want to call it) is over at Texas A&M.

Yeah, that didn’t take long. When you look at the entire situation, this is a pretty good play by Kenny Hill. Not only did he lose his starting spot this season, but the Aggies are expecting to bring on another very talented QB. After serving a two-game suspension this season as well, Hill could use a fresh start at a different program.

Why not make that program TCU? Hill would, of course, have to sit out a year, but Trevone Boykin is still on the team anyways. Learning behind him for a year would be the perfect situation for Hill. After all, Boykin has the talent to win the Heisman, and he will be one of the favorites to do so entering the 2015 college football season.

Although things didn’t exactly go according to plan for Hill in 2014, he still showed a lot of promise early on. Just in case people already forgot, Hill opened up the season by throwing 511 yards and three touchdowns on the South Carolina Gamecocks. Heck, he was in the running for the Heisman for a little bit there.

Regardless, if Hill does decide to go to TCU, he would certainly be in good hands. The Horned Frogs are coming off a very impressive season. They may have missed out on the College Football Playoff, but they did manage to beat the Ole Miss Rebels (42-3) in a New Year’s Six Bowl.

All in all, Hill is making the correct move.
