USC Will Allow Blind Long Snapper To Walk On To Football Team

Don’t ever tell Jake Olsen he doesn’t have what it takes. Diagnosed with retina cancer, Olsen lost his left eye when he was just ten months old and then lost his right eye at 12 years of age.

According to Graham Watson at Yahoo! Sports, these setbacks have not slowed Olsen down in the slightest. The 18-year-old senior at Orange Lutheran high school in Orange, Calif. is carrying a 4.3 GPA, is a member of the golf team and sings in the choir. This fall, Olsen will add “USC Trojans‘ football player” to that inspiring resume.
