The best player in college football (right now) is Leonard Fournette — and it might not even be close (Georgia‘s Nick Chubb would probably disagree).
If you disagree with that statement, just look at his stats from the first three games of the season:
@Mississippi State: 159 rushing yards, three TDs
vs. Auburn: 228 rushing yards, three TDs
@Syracuse: 244 rushing yards, two TDs
Just in case you weren’t keeping score (or don’t have a calculator handy), Fournette already has 631 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
I’m tellin ya @_fournette is the most physically imposing RB I’ve seen in CFB since Adrian Peterson at OU!! #LSUvsCUSE

Meanwhile, his team, the LSU Tigers, are 3-0 and ranked in the top 10. The winning trend will continue if (and only if) Fournette continues to go ham on a weekly basis.

Being in the SEC, the Tigers still have some fierce opponents left on the schedule. You know, opponents like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels.
Fournette is living up to the hype and then some. As a result, he is college football’s best player, and he is always just one play away from ripping off a beastly run.
Fournette for Heisman? I think so.
Leonard Fournette being Leonard Fournette.
