TV Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 17, 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Stadium: Michigan Stadium

Line: Michigan (-7.5)

The Michigan Wolverines might be ranked lower than the undefeated Michigan State Spartans (and have one loss), but they enter this game with as much momentum as anyone in the country.

Michigan has now won three games in a row in shutout fashion (have won five games in a row overall). Meanwhile, Michigan State continues to squeak by its opponents, which apparently doesn’t bode well with some of the top 25 voters.

Connor Cook & Co. are going to have to be on their A game if they plan on winning this weekend. Jim Harbaugh has turned this program back into a force, the Wolverines have the best defense in the country (only allowing 6.3 points per game) and they also get this game at the Big House.

While the Wolverines have been one of the greatest surprises so far in 2015, nothing has changed for the Spartans. They are still a contender for the College Football Playoff, and they can really prove that with a victory in this rivalry game. They can also silence a ton of critics in the process.

Although Michigan State is more than capable of winning the Big 10, it gets Michigan at the worse possible time.

As we saw last weekend in the Red River Rivalry, anything can happen in a, well, rivalry game.

The Wolverines will, for once, give up some points in this contest, but their momentum train will carry them to another victory.

PREDICTION: Spartans 10, Wolverines 14
