National Signing Day 2016: 5 Recruits Who Will Change The Face Of The Big Ten

The Big Ten finished with two schools in the top-five of the final team recruiting class rankings on Rivals, with Ohio State finishing third and Michigan fourth. It was a welcomed sight for a conference that typically only has the Buckeyes near the top, but Jim Harbaugh has put the Wolverines on the map in his first year. Let’s take a look at the five individual recruits who could change the face of the conference.

5. RB Miles Sanders, Penn State

The Nittany Lions already have a playmaker at running back in Saquon Barkley, but Miles Sanders will give them a scary one-two punch. Rivals has Sanders rated as the No. 1 running back in the country which should make James Franklin extremely happy.

4. LB Keandre Jones - Ohio State

The Buckeyes lost a lot on defense following the 2015 season which put the onus on Urban Meyer to bring in some players to help lessen the blow. Jones has a solid shot at playing as a freshman, and he could dominate with his ability to tackle and play in space.

3. QB Messiah deWeaver, Michigan State

With Connor Cook moving on to the NFL, the Spartans desperately needed a talented young quarterback to progress the passing game. deWeaver stands 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, and while it's unlikely that he will play much as a freshman, the Spartans have someone to be excited about in a couple years.

2. DE Nick Bosa, Ohio State

Bosa is the younger brother of Joey Bosa who just left Ohio State and could possibly be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Nick is reportedly farther along at this stage of his career which should make Buckeyes fans salivate at what he could be in a couple years.

1. DT Rashan Gary, Michigan

Gary was the No. 1 overall recruit in this year's class, and he selected the Wolverines over Clemson on National Signing Day. He has a relentless motor and is strong as an ox. Expect him to cause havoc on the Big Ten for at least the next three seasons.
