The San Diego Chargers will play the Denver Broncos in Denver on Sunday at 1:25 PM PDT.

San Diego will enter the game with a 4-5 record which is two games behind Denver who leads the AFC West at 6-3.

San Diego is coming off a 34-24 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while Denver won their last game 36-14 over the Carolina Panthers.

The Lightning Bolts lost their last two games against Denver which were in San Diego, but they are 5-1 in their last six games against the Broncos in Denver.

In order for this trend to continue, San Diego cannot have a repeat of their last game against Denver.  San Diego blew a 24-0 halftime lead and lost 35-24 four weeks ago.

Denver gives up 3.6 yards per rushing attempt which ranks second in the NFL while they give up 6.5 yards per pass attempt which ranks sixth in the league.

Denver is also tied for sixth with 10 interceptions while San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers is tied for second with 12 interceptions.

San Diego ranks third in terms of fewest yards allowed per rushing attempt while they give up 7.1 yards per pass attempt which ranks 15th in the NFL.

Denver gives up 21 points per game which ranks 10th in the NFL while San Diego gives up 21.2 points per game which ranks 11th in the NFL.

Denver averages 30.1 points per game which ranks second in the league while San Diego is at 23.2 points per game which ranks 17th among 32 teams.

Denver’s offense ranks second in yards per pass attempt and San Diego ranks 14th in this category.  San Diego ranks 18th in yards per rushing attempt while Denver ranks 26th in this category.

San Diego’s playoff chances will more than likely be determined by Sunday’s game.  I think that Denver will beat San Diego by a final score of 30-21.
