Don’t bet on the Dallas Cowboys indeed.
There’s no question the bet could have easily gone the other way, especially since the Cowboys had a 26-3 halftime lead over the Green Bay Packers last Sunday. However, I have to imagine Reddit user mrssnrub is perfectly fine with Tony Romo and Dallas blowing the lead and losing the contest 37-36.
The only description on Reddit is “My friend (Cowboys fan) lost a bet to a Packers fan.” Obviously, the photo itself is pretty self-explanatory. Clearly, the dress, Santa Claus hat and sign are all hilarious. However, my favorite part is the Packers fan smoking a victory cigar while wearing an Aaron Rodgers jersey.
I’m assuming if Dallas won then it would be the Green Bay fan wearing the dress and holding the sign. If that’s the case, I wonder what kind of taunting was going on at halftime. Tramon Williams’ interception of Romo that sealed the game was an early Christmas present to Packers fans everywhere. However, I have to imagine mrssnrub really accepted it with joyfulness.
Green Bay’s win keeps their playoff dreams alive, as all they have to do is win out to clinch their third consecutive NFC North title. Likewise, if Dallas wins their last two remaining games they will be crowned the champs of the NFC East.
Both teams have a rocky road ahead over the next two weeks. With that being said, both squads definitely have the capability to overcome adversity and clinch their respective divisions. It would certainly be something if Sunday’s thrilling contest were just a preview of what’s to come in the playoffs.
