Football is a sport, but the Chicago Bears team is a business; keep that in mind as you read this top-five list. Sports fans are clients, or customers, Bears fans wait 20 years to become season ticket holders and in 2013 they paid the highest average ticket price in the league. Here are the five quotes that prove the Bears don't deserve their loyal fans — or customers.

When asked what he thought of fans burning his jersey, Cutler paused, then simply replied, “it’s not the first time”, and left it at that. Translation — who cares about the fans. How about a little empathy for a rabidly diehard fanbase that is suffering through a horrific season?

This is a classic corporate-speak, self-preserving statement from Mel Tucker after losing five of their last six games, including back-to-back embarrassing blowouts. It is painfully obvious to everyone outside of the Bears organization that the answers are not anywhere to be found within the Bears coaching staff.

Mel Tucker dropped this bomb in a recent press conference, stating they thought they were ready going into the Green Bay game and they’ll have to be more ready for this next game. Can they, as coaches, really be that delusional week to week to think they are ready and then get punched in the mouth from the opening snap?

If losing back-to-back games, 51-23 and 55-14, doesn’t get you fired as a coach or benched as a player, what will? Evidently, job security in Chicago is given, not earned. If the Bears truly believe the team they have been fielding is the best they can assemble, then the failure really lies in the decisions that built their roster.

Marc Trestman gave us this doozy in the postgame press conference after the Packers toyed with his team to the tune of 55-14. If he truly believes the coaches and players are doing a tremendous job preparing during the week, then he is obviously better equipped to coach in the CFL than the NFL.
