5 Bold Predictions For Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Pete Carroll coached against Chip Kelly at the collegiate level a few times, but the two will face off for the first time in their NFL head coaching careers on Sunday. Both teams are in the thick of the NFC playoff race. A win in this game will go a long way for both teams with plenty on the line. Here are five predictions for the Seahawks vs. Eagles game.

Both of these teams have dynamic players who can simply make dazzling plays. In the cold weather, both of these teams will be using a face-paced tempo. With players like Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin on the field, it shouldn't come as a surprise if there are more than seven plays of 20 or more yards.

4. Eagles Will Get Less Than 2 Sacks

The Eagles have been great over the past few weeks at getting to the quarterback. Because of the pressure they're getting, opposing quarterbacks are throwing interceptions and they have ultimately found the key to victory. Despite playing against a below-average offensive line, Russell Wilson is one of the toughest quarterbacks to bring down. That's why the Eagles will have less than two sacks on Sunday.

3. Seahawks Will Win Time of Possession

The Eagles have such a dynamic offense. With all of the weapons they have, it's no surprise that their offense is one of the best in the league. However, with the Seahawks coming to town, I believe Seattle will run the football and slow the game down. This will throw the Eagles off their tempo, and in the process, the Seahawks will win the time of possession battle.

2. Mark Sanchez Throws At Least 2 Interceptions

Mark Sanchez has looked great in 2014 in relief of the injured Nick Foles. Despite going 4-1 since becoming the starter, Sanchez has gotten a lot of help from his defense and special teams. In Week 14, Sanchez will have a huge test against a Seattle defense that is clicking on all cylinders right now. Don't be surprised if Sanchez gets uncomfortable in the pocket and makes some costly throws.

1. Seahawks Win 21-20

Both teams are red-hot coming off big wins against their division rivals. However, the Seahawks are looking a lot like the team that won the Super Bowl last year. Although they will travel across the country, this is the game where the Seahawks prove to the NFL that they are for real and they're back in their groove. I expect the Seahawks to limit the Eagles on offense and win this game in dramatic fashion.
