The Denver Broncos have experienced some injuries this year, allowing some young guys to step up in a big way early in their careers. Here are five youngsters who have taken advantage of their opportunities and could emerge as key players in 2015.

Todd Davis started the season in New Orleans, but after being waived mid-season, was snatched up by the Broncos, who have experienced some injuries in the LB position this year. The undrafted free agent has demonstrated his speed and stepped up big for this defense, showing he can be utilized in the coming years.

Unfortunately, Cody Latimer experienced some injury setbacks later in the season, just when his playing time was beginning to increase. In the games he played, he showed great ability, and when healthy, will become a bigger part of this offense. I expect him to emerge as a major playmaker in 2015.

The rookie outside linebacker has seen action in 14 games so far this year. Injuries have plagued this Broncos' linebacking core, and Corey Nelson has stepped up and filled in well for these players when his number was called. He has also made an impact on specials teams, and will continue to develop into a solid playmaker in the coming year.

Juwan Thompson has shown a lot of potential in the backfield this year, with his ability to explode through the holes with power and decisiveness. He's scored three touchdowns and averaged 5.1 yards per carry this season, showing that he could be a solid running back for this team in the upcoming years. His future with the Broncos is looking bright.

Bradley Roby has seen more playing time this year than any other rookie on the team, playing 76.1 percent of the Broncos' defensive snaps. With Chris Harris and Aqib Talib being the shutdown corners that they are, Roby has seen many passes go his way, and he's come up big for this defense. Expect him to continue to grow and come out strong in 2015.
