With the first wave of free-agent signings in the books, the Jacksonville Jaguars have quietly made solid improvements to the roster. Additional players will be brought in throughout the offseason, and of course there's the draft. For a team trying to build a playoff contender, finding contributors on Day 3 of the draft is critical. Here's a look at five late-round prospects the Jaguars should target in the draft.

5. Tye Smith (CB-Towson)

Tye Smith has some of the physical traits the corners on the Seattle Seahawks exhibit. After having so much success with that unit, Jaguars coach Gus Bradley will look to build a similar secondary in Jacksonville. Smith has a long frame to go along with decent speed. Transitioning from the FCS to NFL won't happen overnight, but he's worth a late pick. He can contribute right away on special teams while slowly working his way into the secondary.

4. Cameron Clear (TE-Texas A&M)

The Jaguars need to continue the overhaul at tight end. Julius Thomas was brought in to catch passes. Now, it's time to find a blocking TE for Blake Bortles. Cameron Clear weighed 277 pounds at the Combine, but he looked much heavier during the season. He's one of the best blocking tight ends in this class and a few teams may consider making him an offensive tackle. Either way, the addition of Clear will upgrade Bortles' protection.

3. Martin Ifedi (DE-Memphis)

Martin Ifedi may be ranked a lot higher if he played in a 4-3 scheme in college. Playing in a 3-4 at Memphis, Ifedi wasn't able to do some of the things he'll be required to in the NFL. NFL teams running a 4-3 should take a strong look at Ifedi late in the draft. He doesn't do any one thing extremely well, but he's solid across the board. After cutting Red Bryant, the Jaguars need to add depth to the defensive line.

2. Zach Zenner (RB-South Dakota State)

After Toby Gerhart failed to live up to expectations, the Jaguars are once again in need of a RB. Rookie Storm Johnson was unable to take advantage of his opportunity, so the team needs to add a back with power. Although he played in the FCS, Zach Zenner can be the power back the Jaguars need. He shined on the big stage against Missouri and Nebraska, averaging over 150 yards per game. He'll take the pressure off Blake Bortles on third-and-short.

1. Mark Glowinski (G-West Virginia)

If Blake Bortles is going to have success in this league, he needs to be protected a lot better than he was in 2014. The 71 sacks allowed last season were the most in the NFL since 2006. Mark Glowinski has experience at both tackle and guard, and he may be asked to back up both positions in Jacksonville. After giving QB Clint Trickett plenty of time to throw at West Virginia, Glowinski will be coveted late by teams in need of a pass protector.
