According to Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears are “entertaining offers” for TE Martellus Bennett. The Bears’ tight end hauled-in 90 receptions in 2014 and in entering an eighth NFL season, Bennett could be poised to push the century mark.

Schefter’s interesting avatar aside, this is interesting fodder for the rumor mill. Plenty of teams need a TE, and in the pass-happy NFL, a middle-of-the-field presence wielding more than middle-of-the-road talent is truly a commodity.
