5 Green Bay Packers Veterans Now on the Hot Seat Following 2015 NFL Draft

The Green Bay Packers almost made it to the Super Bowl last season. To get over that small hump, they needed to hit on this year's draft. Ted Thompson once again did just that. By adding an influx of youthful talent to the roster, these five veterans now are on the hot seat.

Despite being a fan-favorite and the swiss army knife of the Packers' offense, it seems that the two sides could go their separate ways. On Day 3 of the draft, the Packers selected Oklahoma's Aaron Ripkowski. A true bowling ball at 6-foot-1, 260 pounds, Ripkowski is a fullback that plays with a ton of aggression. He would be a much better run-blocker in front of Eddie Lacy than Kuhn.

Scott Tolzien simply isn't that good. I know backup quarterback is a position that doesn't get a lot of flare, but the Packers need to have some insurance at the position. When Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone a couple of years ago, the Packers struggled tremendously. Brett Hundley is an upgrade over Tolzien and he provides some potential as well.

Carl Bradford flashed glimpses of his potential in his rookie season, but the Packers added some competition in the middle rounds of the draft by bringing in Jake Ryan. A Michigan product, Ryan spent time at inside and outside linebacker. He's a sure tackler, has a great mindset, and he's everything Dom Capers wants out of his inside linebackers.

The Packers wanted to address their secondary, so they went out and drafted Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins within the first two rounds of the draft. Rollins is extremely raw, as he's only played the sport at the collegiate level for a year, but he has the body and ball-hawking skills that would be perfect in Dom Capers' defense. He could very well push for Demetri Goodson's No. 3 cornerback position.

The Packers used their first-round pick on cornerback/safety Damarious Randall. By drafting Randall, the Packers have added a versatile, rangy player who has top-tier coverage skills. What that means is that Micah Hyde could lose his slot cornerback position if he does not have a good training camp.
