The Green Bay Packers are headed into what appears to be a very promising 2015 season. They also had a very promising draft, and got quite a few players with starting talent. It will be interesting to see how each of them turn out, and whether or not the Packers were able to steal any stars out of the draft class.

How do all of the rookies currently rank among each other with the season on the horizon?

Round 7 - Kennard Backman, Tight End

Kennard Backman comes in last on the list, and was the last selection by the Packers in the 2015 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-3 and 258 pounds, Backman has the body to be an NFL tight end but he just doesn't appear to have the skills at this point. There is a chance he can develop them, but as of right now he doesn't appear to have much of a future with the Packers.

Round 6 - Aaron Ripkowski, Fullback

The Green Bay Packers focused on getting a future replacement for current fullback John Kuhn by selecting Oklahoma's Aaron Ripkowski in the sixth round of the draft. He likely won't see much playing time anytime soon, but he has the talent to become the starter in the future. Ripkowski will be a name that sticks with the Packers for a few seasons, but he has to work hard to develop the skills necessary to make him a starter.

Round 6 - Christian Ringo, Defensive End

Green Bay drafted a potential diamond in the rough when they snagged Louisiana-Lafayette defensive end Christian Ringo in the sixth round. During his senior season last year, Ringo ended up recording 45 tackles, 11.5 sacks and a defensive touchdown. It was an impressive season to say the least, and there is no question that he can work his way onto the field for the Packers in his first couple of seasons.

Round 5 - Brett Hundley, Quarterback

If the Packers didn't already have Aaron Rodgers as their starter, Brett Hundley would have been the No. 1 player on this list. As it is, the Packers developed an impressive backup quarterback and a much better option than either Matt Flynn or Scott Tolzien. Rodgers now has protection behind him in case he goes down with another injury like he has the past couple of seasons.

Round 3 - Ty Montgomery, Wide Receiver

There is a very good chance that the Packers will get a very good wide receiver out of Stanford's Ty Montgomery, but he doesn't break into the top three because Green Bay didn't need a receiver. Depth behind Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams wasn't a bad idea, and it is likely Montgomery will see some field time. During his senior year at Stanford, Montgomery caught 61 passes for 604 yards and three touchdowns.

Round 3 - Jake Ryan, Linebacker

The Packers were forced to cut ties with veteran linebacker A.J. Hawk earlier this offseason, but replaced him with Michigan linebacker Jake Ryan. It was a steal for the Packers in the fourth round, and he has the potential to become a very dominant NFL linebacker. He was a major leader for the Wolverines last year, and ended up recording 112 tackles, 2.0 sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles.

Round 2 - Quinten Rollins, Cornerback

Green Bay lost both Tramon Williams and Davon House in free agency this offseason, but Quinten Rollins was selected in the second round of the draft to help replace them. He was one of the best cornerbacks in the draft class, and racked up 72 tackles, seven interceptions and nine defensed passes last year in college. Rollins has a very good chance to be an immediate starter with the Packers, and has the talent to be a major playmaker immediately.

Round 1 - Damarious Randall, Defensive Back

One of the most intriguing selections in the entire 2015 NFL Draft was Green Bay taking safety Damarious Randall in the first round. They needed a linebacker and a corner, but they do plan on switching Randall to being a cornerback. He is a playmaker and has superstar potential, and will step in and be a solid starting caliber cornerback immediately to start his NFL career in 2015.
