Warren Moon made it in the CFL before he ever made it into the NFL and before making it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But there’s a big difference between Moon and Michael Sam — Moon was a quarterback.

To paraphrase Scott Van Pelt, there is no GPS to success, there is no roadmap. All you can do is to keep doing what you can. Sam may not have hit NFL stardom, but has certainly made strides. The Montreal Alouettes are another stepping stone in strengthening this dream and a progressive environment where Sam can lock-in and thrive.
