The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be a different-looking team in 2015. The offense will be improved with quarterback Blake Bortles and his young trio of wide receivers all entering their second seasons, respectively. Not to mention a revamped offensive line, the signing of Julius Thomas and the drafting of T.J. Yeldon. But there are still some concerns with such a young team. Here are five red flags the Jags should be wary of in 2015.

5. Marqise Lee’s Health

Lee missed OTAs, and was sidelined at minicamp this past week due to a left knee injury. It may just be cautionary at this point, but Lee missed three games last season with a hamstring injury. Fellow second-year wide receiver Allen Robinson has been the talk of the offseason so far, and Allen Hurns led the Jags in yards and touchdowns last year as a rookie. Lee is talented, but the Jags also need him to stay healthy and play a big role.

The running game is expected to be improved, but Jacksonville has not had a consistent rushing attack since Maurice Jones-Drew’s heyday. Yeldon has potential to be a three-down back, Denard Robinson will likely be in a change-of-pace role and Toby Gerhart, who has struggled, may get reps. The addition of linemen Jermey Parnell, Stefen Wisniewski and rookie A.J. Cann will help, but the running game must improve if Bortles will be successful.

3. The Secondary

Jacksonville ranked a pedestrian 22nd against the pass in 2014. The team added cornerback Davon House from Green Bay and free safety Sergio Brown from Indianapolis, while also drafting safety James Sample. It will be interesting to see if Brown or Sample wins the starting free safety job over Josh Evans. House, Aaron Colvin, Dwayne Gratz and Demetrius McCray are all fighting for starting CB positions. Regardless, the secondary must improve.

Again, the defense struggled last season (ranked 26th in total defense). A big reason was the absence of linebacker Paul Posluszny, who missed nine games with a torn pectoral muscle. He will be back this season, though. Telvin Smith had a productive rookie year with 104 tackles. Besides Smith, the Jags didn’t see a lot of help at linebacker in 2014. Dan Skuta was added this offseason and will help. Still, this group needs to have a better year.

Jacksonville used the third overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft on the talented pass-rusher from Florida with high hopes of him being an immediate contributor. Unfortunately, Fowler Jr. tore his ACL at rookie minicamp. It is a huge blow to this team, and it now needs to find an answer at the “LEO” position. Players like Chris Clemons, Ryan Davis and Skuta may try it out, but none possess Fowler’s athleticism. The Jags must find a solution.

Jaguars' Dante Fowler Referees Brawl Between Baby Mama, GF

Dante Fowler missed his entire rookie campaign in 2015 with a torn ACL, and his offseason is getting off to an equally disappointing start. TMZ has released a video allegedly showing Fowler essentially refereeing a fight in a Florida apartment complex between his current girlfriend and his baby mama.
