10 Reasons Why Dallas Cowboys Fans Should Be Excited For 2015 NFL Season

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a season that ended in heartbreak against the Packers, but the 2015 season is nearly upon us. Here are 10 reasons why Cowboys fans should be excited for the upcoming year.

10. Elite Offensive Line

The Cowboys had the NFL's best offensive line in 2014, and yet they still got better this offseason with the addition of rookie La'el Collins. Collins gives Dallas four first-round caliber players up front, if he beats out Ronald Leary at left guard. Regardless of who starts, Dallas' offensive line will be the best in the league once again.

Terrance Williams was the Cowboys' most inconsistent player last season, disappearing for stretches of several games. He's shown promise in his first few seasons in the league, but 2015 could be the year he capitalizes on his potential and has a breakout season. He's received nothing but high praise from Romo and the coaches, and should be able to make big plays in single coverage with Dez Bryant drawing double coverage on the other side.

Jason Garrett: most scrutinized coach in the NFL. That was the storyline prior to last season when he led the Cowboys to a 12-4 record and a playoff win. Now just six months removed from signing a five-year contract, Garrett is in Dallas for the long haul, and Cowboys fans should feel good about placing their faith in his hands for years to come.

Picture this defensive line: Demarcus Lawrence, Tyrone Crawford, Greg Hardy, and Randy Gregory. That's not a group opposing quarterbacks will enjoy seeing across the way, but it's a very real scenario. We'll have to wait a handful of weeks to see it due to Hardy's impending suspension, but upon his return, Dallas' defensive line has the potential to be great. After a non-existent pass rush in 2014, this group of lineman should change that.

6. Return of Sean Lee

Dallas' defense was formidable at best last season. Injuries didn't help the cause, especially that of Sean Lee's torn ACL in OTAs. Lee is on track to be fully healthy this season, expecting to participate in training camp with the first-team defense. With Lee back as a centerpiece of the defense, Dallas could rank in the top 15 on D this season, so long as injuries don't derail that once again. Lee's return should excite Cowboys fans big time.

With No. 29 no longer in the backfield, Cowboys fans will turn their attention to No. 21 -- Joseph Randle. Along with Darren McFadden, Randle will attempt to replace All-Pro DeMarco Murray in Dallas, which is no easy task. On the bright side, Randle averaged 6.7 yards per carry last season and showed incredible elusiveness on numerous runs. He's a home run threat on every carry and should be exciting to watch running behind this offensive line.

4. Tony Romo

This team rises and falls at the hands of Tony Romo. Thankfully, Romo is an elite -- yes, elite -- quarterback and has the capability to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. He had a career year in 2014, tossing 34 touchdowns to just nine interceptions. There's no reason he can't continue that success in 2015 as he has a bevy of weapons on the outside and a historically great offensive line. He's a legitimate MVP candidate and top-10 quarterback.

3. Dez Bryant

What's not to love about Dez Bryant lacing 'em up on Sundays? This guy puts maximum effort into every play and makes catches you can't even dream of making in Madden. Long-term contract or not, Bryant will be on the field in Week 1 against the Giants, and is on his way to becoming one of the best -- if not the best -- wide receivers in the league. Like every other year, Bryant will need to beat double coverage regularly, and he will do just that.

Byron Jones, Randy Gregory, La'el Collins. Those are three huge reasons to be excited for this season tied into one. That trio of rookies will be one of the best in the league, as all three should make immediate impacts. Jones can play anywhere in the secondary, Gregory makes the pass rush dominant, and Collins is the right tackle for the future. There's nothing more exciting than great young players, and the Cowboys have three right here.

Yes, the Dallas Cowboys are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. They have the fifth-best odds to win a ring at 10/1, according to Bovada. It's easy to see why, as the Cowboys were a Dez Bryant catch away from the NFC Championship where they had a great shot of beating the Seahawks. This time, Dallas' defense is much-improved and Romo is coming off a great season and has the confidence to lead the Cowboys to another playoff run.
