Less than a week ago, the NFL was thought to have celebrated its first month in six years during which no players were arrested. It seemed like perhaps some of the public sagas that have played out were doing some good. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case.
Tennessee Titans rookie WR Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested last Wednesday (Sept. 30) for failure to pay parking tickets.

According to The Tennessean, Green-Beckham was pulled over on Wednesday night on Highway 60 in Missouri for speeding. When the arresting officer ran his license he found a warrant issued in Osage Beach, MO for Green-Beckham’s arrest stemming from an unpaid ticket.
The 22-year-old was released after finally paying $92.48 for the ticket, and was issued a warning for his newest offense.
Obviously, Green-Beckham’s infraction is trivial in comparison to some of the cases that have played out with NFL players over the past few years.
Let me get this straight, Dorial Green Beckham got pulled over for allegedly going 65 in a 55 and then ARRESTED for an unpaid ticket? ……

Nevertheless, he was arrested, so Roger Goodell and Co. will have to keep their fingers crossed in October in order to officially experience the positive press that comes along with an arrest-free month.
