2015 NFL Picks, Predictions for Week 11

NFL Week 11 Pick 'Em

NFL Week 11 Pick 'Em Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

We’re now headed into Week 11 of the 2015 NFL season, and what a journey it has been. There are still two undefeated teams, and only 12 of the 32 teams in the league are above .500 on the season. Talk about parity, right?

It could be another interesting week in the NFL, as we have several premier matchups between teams vying for playoff positioning. Here are my picks for how the week’s 14 games will play out.

Tennessee Titans (2-7) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6)

Pick: Jaguars

Coming off a big (and controversial) win against the Ravens, the Jaguars appear capable of stringing together a couple of wins and putting pressure on the division leaders as we come down the home stretch. I think Marcus Mariota will play well, but Jacksonville will edge out Tennessee at the end.

Oakland Raiders (4-5) at Detroit Lions (2-7)

Pick: Raiders

The Lions may be coming off a huge upset of the Packers, but I can’t see their defense doing enough to slow down Derek Carr, Amari Cooper and the Oakland offense. The Raiders have shown well this season but need a big win to stay in the Wild Card race, and should get it against Detroit in Week 11.

Indianapolis Colts (4-5) at Atlanta Falcons (6-3)

Pick: Colts

The Falcons are quickly falling apart at the seams, having lost three of their last four. Even coming off of the bye, I’m not confident in their abilities to overcome a talented Colts team that is starting to get back on track. Matt Hasselbeck will get the job done on the road to keep Indianapolis atop the AFC South.

St. Louis Rams (4-5) at Baltimore Ravens (2-7)

Pick: Rams

Even though they've kept more of their games close, it’s about time we threw in the towel on the Ravens. They’ve been a disaster in 2015, while the Rams are still alive in the playoff race. With a new quarterback under center, St. Louis should have enough energy to get past Joe Flacco and Co.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (4-5)

Pick: Buccaneers

Especially with Mark Sanchez under center and coming off a pitiful loss to the Dolphins, I’m starting to grow tired of thinking the Eagles are a decent football team. The Buccaneers, however, are finally starting to put it together with the help of Jameis Winston. It’s time to believe in the No. 1 overall pick.

Denver Broncos (7-2) at Chicago Bears (4-5)

Pick: Broncos

When the Broncos have gotten quality quarterback play this season, they’ve been unstoppable. That’s what they’re going to get from Brock Osweiler, whose been eagerly awaiting his opportunity to shine in Denver. Look for the Broncos to end the Bears’ two-game winning streak on Sunday.

New York Jets (5-4) at Houston Texans (4-5)

Pick: Texans

This is Week 11’s toughest matchup in my opinion, with both teams showing glimpses of playoff potential between shades of mediocrity. The Texans’ defense has been sensational this season, and a strong performance from Brian Hoyer should be enough to get them the win against Gang Green.

Washington Redskins (4-5) at Carolina Panthers (9-0)

Pick: Panthers

As good as the Redskins have looked at times this season, I can’t see Kirk Cousins having another big performance against one of the NFL’s best defenses. The Panthers are playing clutch football right now, which makes me believe Cam Newton will keep Carolina undefeated in Week 11.

Dallas Cowboys (2-7) at Miami Dolphins (4-5)

Pick: Cowboys

Tony Romo is back and determined to get the Cowboys to the playoffs. While I don’t necessarily think that’ll happen, getting a win against an inconsistent Dolphins team would be a step in the right direction. With Romo back under center, Dallas should finally snap their seven-game losing streak.

Kansas City Chiefs (4-5) at San Diego Chargers (2-7)

Pick: Chiefs

At this point in the season, these teams are headed in opposite directions. The Chiefs are looking strong after three straight wins, while the Chargers have now lost five straight. Even at home, the Chargers don’t have enough healthy talent to ward off a Kansas City team hungry for a playoff spot.

Green Bay Packers (6-3) at Minnesota Vikings (7-2)

Pick: Vikings

This is a turning point in the season for both of these NFC North teams. The Vikings win and take a firm grip on the division heading into a gauntlet of tough matchups. The Packers win, and they regain control of the division after a three-game skid. With home-field advantage, Minnesota keeps their momentum rolling.

San Francisco 49ers (3-6) at Seattle Seahawks (4-5)

Pick: Seahawks

If the Seahawks have any hope of sneaking into one of the NFC Wild Card spots, they absolutely have to win this game against the lowly 49ers. I don’t see that being too much of a problem, though, considering their capable defense is going against the subpar talents of Blaine Gabbert.

Cincinnati Bengals (8-1) at Arizona Cardinals (7-2)

Pick: Cardinals

As we saw last week, the Bengals are certainly beatable – and haven’t overcome their tendency to crack under pressure. Well there will certainly be plenty of pressure this week, as they face the red-hot Cardinals on the road. Look for Carson Palmer to shred the Cincinnati secondary on his way to victory.

Buffalo Bills (5-4) at New England Patriots (9-0)

Pick: Patriots

As great as Tyrod Taylor has been, I don’t see the Bills bringing enough to the table to hand their AFC East rivals their first loss of the season. The Patriots are rolling right now despite a close call last week, and Tom Brady should have no trouble making minced meat of the Buffalo secondary.
