Former NFL QB Vince Young Arrested For DWI In Texas

Former Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young was arrested for a DUI early Monday morning in Austin, TX. According to police records, Young was booked at the Travis County Jail at 12:46 a.m. Monday morning. He has already appeared before a judge and was released on $2,000 bail.

Young was one of the greatest college players of all time as he led the Longhorns to one of the biggest upsets of the century in the 2006 Rose Bowl over the USC Trojans to earn a national championship. He finished his college career with 6,040 yards passing and 44 touchdowns while adding 3,127 yards and 37 touchdowns on the ground.

He then left following his junior year to enter the 2006 NFL Draft where he was selected third overall by the Titans. Throughout his six-year career, Young had numerous struggles on and off the field which led to his early departure from the league.

Since leaving the NFL, Young has found a job at the University of Texas where he is the diversity and community engagement officer in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. I’m sure this incident won’t sit well with the school.
