Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Greg Hardy Will Not Be Brought Back After Too Much Partying

When the NFL reinstated former Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy from the commissioner’s exempt list, there weren’t a whole lot of offers for the defensive end. He ended up signing a one-year incentive-laden deal with the Dallas Cowboys who were about the only team willing to take a chance on him.

Instead of trying to get his act together and cleaning up his image, Hardy continued to be a polarizing figure with his teammates and organization. According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, things were even worse than they appeared:

“Hardy partied a lot during the season and simply was not in great physical shape as the season wore on and on and on,” Cole says, adding that Hardy arrived late for meetings and became a distraction.

With the Cowboys not willing to put up with his antics, I’m not sure what other team would be. It would be a tragic waste of talent if Hardy isn’t able to figure things out. In his last season with the Panthers, he recorded 15 sacks and looked to be on his way to stardom, but then he thought he was above the law and could threaten his girlfriend with her life and get away with it. Then he actually got away with it when she didn’t show up to court.

Before you think that your team should go out and sign Hardy, go back and look at the things he’s done over the last couple years. I think you’ll realize how much of a problem he really is.
