The New York Giants and general manager Jerry Reese will need to make the 2016 NFL Draft one of the best if they want to get back to the playoffs. The Giants have gaping holes all over their roster, and with the No. 10 overall pick, they can plug at least one, maybe two holes while adding valuable depth pieces in the later rounds. They will only have six picks this year as they traded a conditional seventh-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for punter Brad Wing. Here is the pre-combine Giants mock draft.
Round 1: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
Getty ImagesThe Giants need pass rushers, and Lawson is one of the best all-around defensive ends in the draft. Lawson has a great motor and the production to match.
Round 2: Su’a Cravens, S, USC

There is some question about where Su'a Cravens will play, safety or linebacker, in the NFL. The Giants can use him in either slot. The question is, will he be available when the Giants pick in the second? Joshua Perry is a nice fallback here.
Round 3: Kenny Lawler, WR, Cal
Getty ImagesKenny Lawler has the size and speed the Giants love. They need a wide receiver to complement Odell Beckham, Jr. and Lawler could be that guy. He makes the tough catches and is a threat in the end zone.
Round 4: Connor McGovern, OG, Missouri

Round 5: Kevon Seymour, CB, USC

Round 6: C.J. Prosise, RB, Notre Dame
