The Jacksonville Jaguars had a very strong 2016 NFL Draft, and they will be looking forward to the new season. They have made some key free-agent acquisitions and have a lot of young talent now on both sides of the ball. Here are five takeaways from their draft class.

The Jaguars have struggled to protect their quarterback consistently, but the team chose not to address the need in the draft. They had the opportunity to take quality linemen at several points, but chose to focus on other areas.

The Jaguars have not been good on defense, and this was clearly a focal point for them in the draft. They drafted a pair of potential game-changers on that side of the ball and added a lot of depth to their defensive line.

Jack fell out of the first round due to health concerns, despite being one of the top talents in the entire draft class. Maybe it is unclear how many years he will have in the league, but he's worth the gamble.

The team had arguably the best draft and did an excellent job of improving their defense. Jack and Jalen Ramsey could be two of the top rookies in the league next season, and both are athletic specimens who can play several positions.
