Marcus Peters Says Chiefs Will 'Beat the Dog S–t Out of' Marshawn Lynch, Raiders

With Marshawn Lynch back in the NFL playing for his hometown Oakland Raiders this season, many players are feeling somewhat outspoken either positively or negatively about the team’s chances.

Here’s what some analysts are saying about Beast Mode and his prospects with the Raiders this season.

Pretty bright outlook, but not everyone is convinced.

Fellow Oakland native Marcus Peters plays for the rival Kansas City Chiefs and, though he’s happy for Lynch playing in his hometown, he says the AFC West is still KC’s division.

“It’s going to feel good for him,” Peters told The Mercury News. “It’s going to be a good feeling. It’s going to be a good feeling for Oakland. But when we come here, we’re going to beat the dog [expletive] out of him.”

Tell us how you really feel.

But a defensive back for the Raiders, rookie Obi Melifonwu, thinks that this is Oakland’s year in a retort that was dripping with confidence.

“I think so,” Melifonwu told Pro Football Talk. “Like I said, with all the guys we have this year, with everybody that’s coming back and with everybody we’ve added, our coaching staff and everybody that’s been really for the cause I think we can stop them. Actually, I know we can stop them.”

This just reeks of the good old-fashioned AFC West hatred of old these two teams used to share.
