Marshawn Lynch Sits During National Anthem for Raiders vs. Cardinals

By Anthony Blake

Given the divisive nature of Colin Kaepernick in the NFL, it’s a wonder Marshawn Lynch has escaped the wrath of the morality police this offseason.

All it took was a bit of passive protest in the form of sitting during the national anthem for the Oakland Raiders vs. Arizona Cardinals preseason game to get the headhunters back thirsty for blood.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio took the high road when addressing Lynch’s sit after the game.

While it’s hard to call this a non-story, Del Rio may have made it into one by suggesting that Lynch has always sat during the anthem when there is evidence to suggest otherwise during his time with the Seattle Seahawks.

This surely won’t be the last time we hear of Beast Mode and his silent protest.
