The Los Angeles Kings have been lucky to be healthy during their two Stanley Cup runs, but have had some big name players injured during the regular season. In order to have favorable seeding in the 2015 playoffs these five cogs in the Kings will need to avoid the injury list in 2014-2015.

The tenacious defenseman missed over half of the 2013-2014 season due to an upper body injury and the Kings surely missed his presence in front of the net. Few players make are tougher to play against and a healthy Greene makes life easier for the Kings’ players while making life difficult for opponents.

The sniper has missed time due to nagging foot injuries over the last four years and has seen it affect his offensive numbers. A healthy Carter is one of the elite goal scorers in the game and the Kings would surely benefit from that.

The team captain hasn’t missed much time due injury over the years, but has played through a number of injuries that would have surely sidelined other players. If he is indeed at 100%, look for Brown to put last year’s nightmare regular season behind him and be the great combination of scoring and tenacity fans know and love.

The All-World goalie missed a big chunk of last season with a leg injury that saw the rise of Martin Jones as a capable NHL goalie. While Jones has come on strong the Kings rely on Quick and will need him healthy throughout the 2014-2015 campaign

Injuries come as often to Gaborik as his highlight reel goals, which is unfortunate because he is as explosive an offensive player as there is in the league. A healthy season from the Slovakian sniper could see him net 35-40 goals, surely a boost to the at times offensively-challenged Kings.
