The Montreal Canadiens continue to add talent at all levels of the organization. Here are five of the top prospects who have gained much notice since being drafted. They have all played in pre-season in the 2014-15 games and are very exciting to watch. The future of this team is bright.

Acquired from the New York Rangers in 2013, Christian Thomas shows exceptional speed, a strong shot and keen hands. He will no doubt be an effective goal-scorer for the Habs when he makes the team. He currently plays for their farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs, and is an exciting player to watch.

Nikita Scherbak was acquired in the 2014 draft. Scherbak, only 18 years old, played for Russia and came to North America when selected by Saskatoon in 2012. Scherbak shows sensational skating speed and creative offensive instincts. He can best be compared to Alex Galchenyuk, who is already a star in the NHL with the Habs. The future looks bright for Scherbak.

Zach Fucale made a big name for himself when he played for Canada in the World Juniors in 2013. All around the hockey world, he became noticed by fans of all ages, from all cities. Fucale's goaltending skills are sharp, his reflexes on point and his calm demeanor reminiscent of the Canadiens' Carey Price and Dustin Tokarski. No question he will shine when he makes it to the roster.

Jacob de la Rose, acquired in the 2013 draft, debuted in the Swedish league at age 16. He currently plays for the Hamilton Bulldogs, but could potentially see his NHL debut by next season. He played well for the Habs in pre-season, and shows tremendous potential. He is a physical player, but uses his speed and confidence to move the puck and make the shots. He is a smart player, making key moves, passing and shooting without hesitation.

Andrighetto was drafted in 2013, playing at the junior level. He played for Switzerland that year, scoring five goals and three assists in six games. His skating is spectacular, energetic and fast. He is known for his creative moves on the power play and shows incredible talent. He will no doubt dominate in the AHL. He was among the last cut from the roster for the current season, and could very easily see time in the NHL as a call-up.
