Even though we’ve reported that WrestleMania 29 tickets are quite expensive compared with past events, it appears as if fans don’t care and are still willing to pay top dollar for pro wrestling’s biggest ever event.

Tickets for WrestleMania 29 went on sale over the weekend and have already sold between 45,000 and 50,000 tickets. The WWE has already earned $10 million worth of sales for the event in just two days.

This is quite surprising if you factor into account the economy and ringside tickets alone are going for $2000. It’s now been revealed that Ticketmaster are offering something called “Official Platinum Preferred Seats” that will cost you $9000 for two seats! Last year the most expensive tickets were $1500 and before that, $500 were the maximum you would pay for a WrestleMania ticket.

Another surprising factor is that a main event has not been announced for the event as of yet. Unlike with WrestleMania 28, a match has not been revealed yet for WrestleMania 29. It’s quite impressive nearly 50,000 tickets have been sold for an event that has no matches booked for it yet.

At this rate, it appears it will be a sellout. Metlife Stadium has a capacity to hold around 80,000 fans. It’s likely those 30,000 tickets will get sold once matches are actually booked for the event early next year.

So far, all we know is that both The Rock and Brock Lesnar will be wrestling. They were advertised on the official poster along with John Cena. It’s been speculated The Rock will face Cena in a rematch of this year’s WrestleMania, while Lesnar will face Triple H in a rematch of SummerSlam.
