WWE has officially confirmed that Batista will be in the 2014 Royal Rumble match.
It has been over three years since Batista has been in the WWE, and everyone is excited for his return. It’s no doubt WWE wants to increase the buy rate for the PPV, so they have advertised Batista’s involvement in the match very early to spike interest.
This year’s Royal Rumble could be one of the biggest ones ever as there are a lot of wrestlers that could be included. For current stars, you’ve got CM Punk and Daniel Bryan as well as the members from The Shield and The Wyatt Family.
Some other big names could be added to the match too. Sheamus is rumored to come back from injury, and old-timers like Christian and Rob Van Dam could be added to the match too. It’s possible Brock Lesnar could be in the match, although he could be preoccupied with his match with Big Show instead.
With so many big names in this year’s Royal Rumble, can Batista make a huge impact? Something tells me that WWE has huge plans for him in the near future, and it’s very possible he could end up winning the 2014 Royal Rumble.
I usually like Royal Rumble winners to be new and fresh star, but something tells me that this isn’t going to happen this year as WWE wants Batista to win. I would say this makes sense since he’s the best opponent to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX. Still, WWE could surprise us all and make Roman Reigns win this year.
