Real Madrid‘s president Florentino Perez has lashed out at former No. 10 Mesut Ozil for being slightly unprofessional.

Perez claims that Ozil would practically drool after women during his free time and would barely sleep at night before or after games or practices. He believes that the German international’s obsession with night life and women hindered his performances.

The fact that he had the gall to say that at all is frankly quite shocking.

Ozil wore the number 10 on the back of his jersey and started almost every single game during his three year tenure at the club. He loved the fans, the staff and respected each and every one of his teammates.

Apparently, that was never going to be enough.

Under Jose Mourinho, he was a truly respected player who had plenty of playing time. Under new coach Carlo Ancelotti, he barely played at all; in fact, he was subbed off during the first league game and was quite angered by this action.

The arrival of Isco and Gareth Bale has caused the rising of trust issues. Coach Ancelotti is rumored to have mentioned that Ozil has to get accustomed to spending time on the bench this season.

Think about that statement for a minute. How can a coach have the gall to say something along those lines about one of his best players regardless of the arrival of two new world class talents?

Ozil poured his heart and soul into every single match he played, whether he went out the night before and chased women or not.

Isco and Bale will improve the quality of the attacking midfield, but mark these words: Ozil will certainly be missed – that is a guarantee.
