4. Steve Zakuani

The 25-year-old former no. 1 pick in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, Zakuani struggled after returning from a brutal leg injury. A number of teams are in need of quality defenders, and Franklin is an athletic right-back that will bring with him experience and the ability to log a ton of minutes while helping shore up the back line for his future club. Franklin has logged more than 2100 minutes in five of his six MLS seasons.

Just one season removed from scoring 18 goals for New York, Cooper is another forward available to help a team in need of offensive power. Cooper is an imposing figure up top at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Admittedly, selecting an aging veteran is an obvious gamble, but he may just be able to muster one last double-digit goal scoring season.

The 2012 MLS MVP has also been named MLS Cup MVP twice for two different clubs, and knows what it takes to win an MLS Championship. Slowed from injury in 2013, De Rosario takes amazing care of his body through nutrition and fitness, and will no doubt be looking to prove his career is not yet over. Teams looking for leadership and offense could benefit from taking a chance on the Canadian national for the upcoming season.
