Wesley Sneijder Says Move to Manchester United Out of The Question
The 29-year-old Dutch international has reportedly ruled out a move to Premier League champions Manchester United. He claims that he is happy at Galatasaray as he is an irreplaceable member of the starting 11 and is the true driving force of the team’s Champions League push to the Round of 16.
Wesley Sneijder is nearing the prime of his career as he is a short time away form hitting his 30th birthday. The attacking-midfielder has finally reignited his true form on the field as he is dribbling, passing, sprinting and ripping shots on goal like he once did a couple of years ago. His fitness level is truly above expectancy, and this is what has allowed him to drive the team forward constantly in the attack.
Galatasaray has been relying on him as of late as their midfield has seemed to lack a bit of creativity that it once had a season ago. With Sneijder back to full fitness and starting as the No. 10 they have been an attacking force, and this has allowed them to defeat the Serie A champions, Juventus, on home soil to advance to the Round of 16 in the UCL. Sneijder was the one who scored the winner on that freezing day in Istanbul.
With the likes of Chelsea waiting for Gala in the Round of 16 later early next year, Sneijder knows that he will have to be perfect in leading the midfield on almost every single trip to the opposing frame. If Gala is to win the game at home, he will have to inspire the team to play at an even higher level than ever before. And if the boys follow his example, the team will be successful, plain and simple.
