Justin Forsett Fantasy Football 2013 Profile: Health the Main Issue

Name: Justin Forsett

Team: Jacksonville Jaguars

Position: Running Back

Years Pro: 5

Draft stock: (Stagnant) It seems as if fantasy football owners are hellbent on drafting Maurice Jones Drew as early as the second round, which means the hype around Forsett is minimal to say the least. However, Forsett did dazzle with a whooping 6.0 yards per carry in 2013, which could have a few NFL fans drooling. Either way, most see Forsett has a waiver-wire guy if MJD is injured once again.

2012 fantasy impact: A third-string back with the Hosuton Texans, Forsett excelled in limited time with 375 rushing yards. Arian Foster and Ben Tate pushed Forsett down the depth chart, so it was usually an uphill battle for the fifth-year back to get many looks in the Texans’ high-powered offense.

Best-case scenario: Jones Drew isn’t as healthy as we all believe and the Jaguars give Forsett the reins as the starter. Improving on his uncanny 6.0 YPC, Forsett is fantasy football gold.

Worst-case scenario: Denard Robinson is implemented in Jacksonville as the back-up guy to MJD and both have excellent seasons. Once again, Forsett fights to even see the field.

Where you should draft him: Forsett is more than likely going to be there come the 14th round, so if you’re feeling bold than go ahead and draft him with the hopes that the Jags’ starting running back goes down once again.
