Fantasy Sleepers for Week 5

Rashad Jennings is suddenly the main man in the Oakland Raiders‘ backfield with Darren McFadden and Marcel Reece both injured. With a matchup against the San Diego Chargers‘ sketchy defense looking, Jennings could be in for another 100-yard game.

Charles Clay has become a legit receiving option in Miami and he’s going up against a Baltimore Ravens defense that has given up a ton of points to opposing tight ends this year, so he could be in for a big day in Week 5.

Eli Manning has been absolutely awful this season, but the Philadelphia Eagles present an opportunity for him to get back on track. Philly has given up the second-most fantasy points to opposing passers this year, so if you need a fill-in at quarterback, Eli is actually worth a look this week.

Daryl Richardson has also been a huge disappointment this year, but if there’s any week that he might break out, it’s Week 5 against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. If you need a bye week fill-in Richardson is definitely not a bad option.

Cecil Shorts hasn’t put up the numbers expected this year, but that’s because all the defensive attention has been on him. With Justin Blackmon back this week, Shorts might burn the St. Louis Rams‘ woeful defense deep a time or two.

If you’re a gambler, all of these players are decent options in Week 5. If you’re not fond of rolling the dice, grin and bear your loss this week.
