B.J. Raji Takes Shot at New York Giants O-Line; Giants Take High Road
Yesterday Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl nose tackle B.J. Raji made news when he commented on the softness of the New York Giants offensive line.
“I’m not saying they’re soft,” Raji said. “but they’re not the toughest group I’ve been against.”
Today the Giants offensive linemen got their chance to respond, but chose to take the high road. Former Pro Bowl right guard Chris Snee joked with reporters at first, then gave his real answer.
“I was upset about it all night. I couldn’t sleep, really tossing and turning,” Snee joked. “All kidding aside, no one cares what B.J. had to say. Sometimes when you’re young and you make it to a Pro Bowl and then to a Super Bowl and you have your own commercial, you feel the need to talk. We’ll do our talking on Sunday.”
Obviously the offensive line is taking the high road, but they are as confident as their defensive teammates who’ve been talking all week about how they expect to win the game.
“Honestly, I don’t care,” Giants center David Baas said. “I’ll do my talking on Sunday with my pads. I don’t care. He can say whatever he wants to say, it doesn’t matter.”
