Saints trail Vikings 9-7 at half

After a hot start by Drew Brees and the Saints offense, the Vikings took control of the second quarter and took a two-point lead into halftime in the Louisiana Superdome. Just after receiving the opening kickoff, Brees and the Saints offense wasted no time in scoring a quick touchdown to Devery Henderson. The Saints had an additional productive drive in the first half, but were unable to turn the drive into points. Garrett Hartley also missed a 46-yard field goal in the second quarter. On the Vikings front, the Saints so far haven’t been able to get pressure on Brett Favre like they did in the NFC Championship game, although one quarterback hurry in the second quarter by Roman Harper turned into an interception for the Saints.
