The Top Ten Moments Of 2012 For CM Punk
In the WWE, 2012 has been the year of CM Punk. The self-proclaimed Best in the World has certainly been that. He has won every feud that he has engaged in and he has looked strong in doing so. He has taken out many of the top challengers in the company.
Punk has had some great moments in 2012, but how would you end up ranking his moments. Luckily for you guys, I decided to look at 2012 and rank Punk's best moments so far. There have been some great feuds and other situations that have made him look great.
Before people start complaining, I chose not to rank him decking a fan in the face because that is not really a great video. If you have no idea what I am talking about, we have a great piece about it here on the site. In fact, I will save you the search time. Here's a link to what I am talking about.
If you are ready to join me on a ride through 2012, strap yourself in. It is time to relive some of the great moments in pro wrestling this year. Of course, it is a Punk biased list but these moments have shaken up the landscape of pro wrestling. There are some that could have lasting effects into 2013 and beyond.
My ramblings are now complete, so it is time to click through this bad boy. As always, let me know what you think about this in the comments.
10. Relationship With AJ Lee
Punk's relationship with current Raw GM AJ Lee certainly drove some storylines. Like all stories in 2012, Punk came out on top as Lee turned out to be a little bit insane. She's still hot though.
9. Taking Out The Show-Off
Dolph Ziggler might be the future, but he was no match for Punk in early 2012. Punk was the better man multiple times, including a big win at the Royal Rumble.
8. Feud With Chris Jericho
The feud with Chris Jericho to determine the true Best in the World had some amazing matches. However, it could have been better, which is why this is only number eight.
7. Feud With John Laurinaitis
Punk's long-standing feud with John Laurinaitis was great, but it did have some very dull moments. Certainly not some of the best work he's had in 2012.
6. Becoming A "Paul Heyman Guy"
Paul Heyman and Punk have had a long relationship. Pairing the two up on screen has been great so far.
5. Dominance Over John Cena
For whatever reason, John Cena keeps thinking he needs rematches with Punk. Look at the record book. Punk has dominated Super Cena all throughout 2012.
4. Feud With Daniel Bryan
The feud with Daniel Bryan was great for fans of traditional wrestling. These two put on a show every time they were matched up against each other for a month or two.
3. Possible Feud With Stone Cold Steve Austin
Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin have been taking shots at each other for a while. Is this the beginning set up for a Wrestlemania match?
2. Attacking The Rock
When Punk took out The Rock to end an episode of Raw, it officially launched the Summer of Punk, Part Two. I do not think anyone is complaining about that.
1. Year Long Title Reign
Only one man has held the WWE Title in 2012. That man is CM Punk and he is closing in on a calendar year long reign. Not bad for a guy who everyone thought would fail in ECW.
